Draw Closer to Our Blessed Mother—New Online Course Available

The popular Pursuit of Wisdom series by Ave Maria University faculty launched a free new course, “Introduction to Mariology,” exploring the dogmas, devotions, and apparitions of Our Blessed Mother, guided by Dr. Mark Miravalle.

“It is my hope and prayer that this brief course will provide an increased appreciation of the whole truth about Mary, which hopefully will lead to a greater love of Mary,” said Dr. Miravalle.

Under Dr. Miravalle’s expert guidance, participants will explore the profound theological depths of Mariology, examining Scripture and the rich tradition that presents Mary as our Mother and an enduring icon of faith for all.

“It is clear that Jesus wants His Mother better known and better loved, especially in our own challenging times,” explained Dr. Miravalle. “Mary is the Masterpiece of God, chosen by the Father to bring the world its Redeemer through the power of the Holy Spirit. The more we know the Mother, the more we can serve the Son in the heart of the Church.”

Dr. Mark Miravalle holds the Constance Schiffin-Blum Chair of Mariology at Ave Maria University and earned his Doctorate in Sacred Theology at the PontificalUniversity of St. Thomas Aquinas in Rome. An internationally renowned Mariologist, he founded and serves as the senior editor of Ecce Mater Tua, an international journal of Mariology research. As president of the International Marian Association, he leads more than 130 theologians, bishops, clergy, and laity worldwide in promoting Marian devotion and doctrine. Dr. Miravalle is also the author and editor of over 20 books in Mariology and spiritual theology, including his most recent works, Meet Your Mother: An Introduction to Mary; Meet Your Spiritual Father: An Introduction to St. Joseph; Time to Meet the Angels; and Jesus in You: The Indwelling of the Trinity in the Souls of the Just.
