A Legacy Continued

A personal note from Tom Monaghan

Thank you for your interest in this project, which is meaningful to me for many reasons.

Richard was one of a kind, and the impact he had on me and my life is difficult to put into words. Everyone who knew Richard experienced this firsthand. Both his friendship and his immense contributions to the success of Domino's Pizza makes Mueller's a fitting tribute to Richard and the legacy of RPM Pizza.

My vision for Ave Maria University (AMU) is for it to be a world-class university where future leaders are formed into men and women who will impact the Church and society for generations to come. Since selling Domino's Pizza nearly 30 years ago, founding AMU has been my primary focus, but I have needed countless others to partner with me to make it a reality. Today, I am asking for your help to make Mueller's a reality. People and stories inspire others! Richard had a passion for excellence, putting family first, helping others, and inspiring those around him. My vision is to tell this story in Mueller's. Domino's would not be the company it is without Richard, and Domino's is at the foundation of AMU.

I am excited and grateful to work with past and present franchisees to make Mueller's a truly fitting tribute to Richard and a place where students will be inspired by his life and his legacy.

Gratefully,

Tom Monaghan

Mueller's: A Gathering Place

A hub of student activity

Given its proximity to the dorms and its open floorplan, Mueller's promises to be an extremely popular location for a variety of student activities. It will serve not only as a destination for events, but also as a hub for students as they come and go from their dorms.

Its convenient and versatile design will make it perfect for hosting student-organized events, as well as spontaneous get-togethers. Whether it be weekly karaoke night, Student-Life sponsored events, a place for friends to have a meal at the end of a long day, or somewhere they can grab a protein bar as they make their way to class or an athletic activity, it promises to be throbbing with life.

A Legacy… a Museum

Richard P. Mueller's impact, not just on Domino's Pizza, but on the Pizza industry as a whole, is a story that deserves to be told, and told well. Be it his genius for store operations, industry-changing innovations, incredible records, or his passion to help others succeed, all who visit Mueller's will come to understand the legacy of Richard P. Mueller (RPM).

Tom Monaghan and Ave Maria University are excited to receive from RPM Pizza and the Mueller family memorabilia of every kind that will help to tell this story through photos, awards, historic uniforms and the like. To the degree helpful, Tom will supplement the decor of Mueller's with items from his personal Domino's collection.

Cost

Raised or pledged

$677,240

Ave Maria University has already raised or received pledges of $677,240.

Building estimate

$1 million

The current estimates for the approximately 2,000 sq/ft Quonset Hut structure is $1 million.

Optional endowment

$150,000

If there is a groundswell of support from the Domino's franchise community, an endowment could be established, which would serve to fund ongoing improvements and possibly the rotation of displays as needed. An endowment of $150,000 would be very meaningful in this regard.

Partnering in Extending the Mueller Legacy

The more than $675,000 has already been raised or pledged from a handful of Domino's franchisees who were initially approached to take a leadership role in this project. We are excited about our ongoing collaboration to honor Richard in this profound way on AMU's campus. We are hopeful that other past and present franchisees throughout the Domino's network will partner with us to see this vision come to fruition.

A personal note from Glenn Mueller

Dear Friends,

Being part of the Domino's family and building RPM Pizza alongside my own family has been one of the greatest blessings of my life. It has shaped who I am, influenced how I lead, and introduced me to friendships that have endured for decades.

Many of us learned early on about the five priorities that Tom Monaghan championed: Spiritual, Social, Mental, Physical, and Financial. The order mattered then, and it still matters today. Long before most people talked about work-life balance or personal growth, Tom challenged us to build our lives around the things that matter most.

Ave Maria University is the realization of that vision. It is a place where young men and women can pursue all five priorities together, in the right order, and in an environment that encourages them to grow not only academically, but spiritually and personally as well. While all five priorities are important, many people spend their lives pursuing the fifth before establishing a strong foundation in the first four. Tom and Richard both believed that when your spiritual, social, mental, and physical priorities are in balance, financial success often follows. Ave Maria helps students build that foundation first, giving them the opportunity to achieve success without sacrificing what matters most.

What impresses me most about Ave Maria is not the beautiful campus or the academic programs, though both are exceptional. It is the sense of community. The friendships formed there remind me of the relationships many of us built throughout our years in the Domino's system. They are rooted in shared values, genuine care for one another, and a commitment to showing up when people need you. Those are the kinds of relationships that last a lifetime.

That is why a group of longtime friends and fellow operators, Mike Orcutt, Mike Cunningham, Mike Rompel, Jerry Longen, and I, have joined Tom in creating a special gathering place on campus called Mueller's, named in honor of my brother, Richard.

Richard believed deeply that success was never about accumulating wealth. He often said that money is simply a tool, and in the right hands, it can build something that lasts far beyond us. Mueller's will provide students with a place to gather, connect, build friendships, and create the kind of community that shapes the rest of their lives.

Most of us have spent our careers focused on the fifth priority. Through hard work, opportunity, and God's blessings, we've been fortunate to achieve success. Today, I am asking you to consider using a portion of what the fifth priority has made possible to strengthen the first four for future generations.

Throughout our careers, we built businesses on the belief that you could do things the right way and still succeed. Ave Maria University represents that same belief on a much larger scale. It is an investment in young people, strong values, and a future worth building.

I hope you will take a few minutes to learn more about this project and prayerfully consider supporting it. Together, we have the opportunity to create a lasting impact for generations of students who will walk this campus long after we are gone.

Gratefully,

Glenn Mueller

P.S. If you've never visited Ave Maria University, I encourage you to do so. The campus is remarkable, but the students are what truly make it special. A visit will tell the story far better than any letter ever could.
