Ave Maria University Provost and Professor of Theology, Dr. Roger Nutt, was recently featured as the guest expert on Franciscan University Presents: Faith & Reason, broadcast on EWTN. Hosted by Fr. Dave Pivonka, TOR, with panelists Dr. Scott Hahn and Dr. Regis Martin, the episode explores the powerful graces of the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick, including how our society grapples with fear of death, grief, and the healing the Church offers.
The episode draws on Dr. Nutt’s book, To Die Is Gain: A Theological (re-) Introduction to the Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick for Clergy, Laity, Caregivers, and Everyone Else. The episode was filmed at Franciscan University of Steubenville in fall 2025 and aired on EWTN in January 2026.
